Stonebrae
On a clear day at Stonebrae, you can see forever (or at least to the sparkling waters of the San Francisco Bay, and its four renowned bridge spans). In this lovely setting, the Stonebrae project has been designed as a celebration of the Craftsman style and its elegant use of wood detailing and Old World craftsmanship. Materials incorporated into the main clubhouse, and other related buildings, include a mixture of stone, brick, stucco and wood. The lines of the building will be resolutely horizontal, with low pitched roofs, deep overhangs, and wood trim that leads the eye laterally along the building. The clubhouse has been designed to look as though it were hand-crafted, using traditional wood joinery and detailing such as mortise and tenon, lap joints, and dowelling.
