Michael S. Marsh
Graduated from Iowa State University in 1981 with a degree in Architecture. He spent his first four years in Denver as a Designer and Intern Architect working on large scale commercial, office, hotel and educational projects.
In 1985 Marsh joined the Los Angeles-based international Architecture/Engineering firm of Daniel Mann Johnson and Mendenhall, and one year later became the youngest project manager in their corporate headquarters. At DMJM, Michael was responsible for over $100,000,000 in medical and educational projects for the Western Region that included the Los Angeles School District, California Community College District, Moorpark College, Ventura Community College, Catholic Healthcare West, the Veteran's Administration and NASA.
He joined William Zmistowski Associates as a Project Manager/Associate in 1992, where his work focused on high-end, design-oriented golf clubhouse and hospitality projects in the $1M-$8M range.
Marsh formed MAI design group in 1996, recruiting a core group of experienced golf and hospitality architects who shared a similar philosophy to provide the utmost in quality architectural design and personal client service. In the twelve years since starting MAI, Mr. Marsh has become one of the foremost experts on Golf Clubhouse, spa and golf-related hospitality design. His experience encompasses projects in Korea, China, Macau, India, Mexico and Costa Rica as well as over 50 projects throughout the United States, and he has lectured internationally on the topic of golf and hospitality design. Marsh and MAI’s creativity and experience with golf clubhouses, golf-related facilities, boutique hotels, resorts and spas, and villas/estate projects ensures its clients the highest level of design, operational expertise, and budget-conscious solutions.
